In his "apprenticeship" he secured a First Class Degree, the Sheppard Robson Prize for Outstanding Architecture, was shortlisted for the RIBA Bronze Medal & passed his Diploma & Part 3 Exams with Distinction. He was made Partner at his first practice the day he qualified at just 28 & flourished key roles in high profile studios globally.
Lee founded PENSON just 6 years ago to extend his belief that architecture's next arrival should treat design & commercials as equals. Now 39, Lee thrives in driving the PENSON brand into the future via hard work whilst avoiding the need for studio egos. Lee writes regularly for leading journals, teaches architecture, is a judge for numerous international design awards & is frequently asked to speak on the international conference circuit.
He exclusively owns all PENSON companies & nurtures client's interests via his personal involvement throughout every project. He loves custom guitars & utilising his RYA Ocean Yachtmasters qualifications via lots of boisterous ocean sailing.
